Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been won on hard courts
A resurgent Daniil Medvedev won his initial title for 882 days with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open title decider.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has had a torrid season, managing just one win at the big events and experiencing a difficult moment at the US Open.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and difficulties with his serving in especial - caused him exiting of the elite rankings and finally parting ways with long-term coach Cervara.
Currently training with Thomas Johansson and his other coach, Medvedev has consistently progressed in the last few weeks - climaxing in a hard-fought three-set victory over opponent Moutet.
This represents the player's initial title following the Italian tournament and initial on a hardcourt since that period of the previous year.
Victory also indicates the Russian has achieved twenty-one victories at twenty-one different events.
"It's the first time I have attended a event with my both daughters simultaneously, so to secure a championship is particularly special," commented world number 14 Medvedev.
"This championship is in honour of my second daughter my daughter, because the initial championship I won when my older daughter her name was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the past champion, had lost his previous six championship matches, featuring in Halle previously this season.
The player's retrieving strategy and recurring outbursts on court had prompted some to wonder if his ability to perform at the elite level was finished.
But the player has altered his approach in the past month, striving to advance forward and compete aggressively, backed up by an better service.
The champion recovered from a break down in the opening set against the tricky Moutet, securing 4 of the concluding five games to go ahead.
The pair exchanged break points in the middle set before the challenger, attempting for his maiden tour championship, seized the initiative to push for a decider.
Moutet defended 4 initial break points in a close third set before the champion broke to that score to serve for the match.
Appropriately, Medvedev secured victory with a rally at the net, with his opponent incapable to control a return after over two and a half hours.
